Our cooking project began in July of 2014 as personal journey to introduce my kid to the foods I love, instead of making chicken nuggets every night. I also hoped that with all this practice I would become a better, more intuitive cook myself. I had no idea that this little adventure would inspire so many and have such an amazing influence on my son’s palette. After only two weeks of cooking every day my kid was willing to try so many new things, and months later he began actually requesting spinach, zucchini, chick peas and so much more.
I truly believe that cooking together is a cure for pickiness. When my kid participates and sees all the ingredients go in, especially when he’s a part of the adventure, he discovers new foods on his own. Cooking together has really changed the way we eat. Speaking of cooking, I’ve been baking up a new little chef! She’s enjoyed all our creations in utero, and now she’s here and getting acclimated to life on the outside while watching her brother and me cook!
